Win one of next two and we are fine.

Again the loss is not why most people were upset. Effort was awful.
Agree with that.

A combo of putrid defense and Providence never missing a shot means a loss. Teams are not going to shoot that well against us every time. We played bad, but we were also extremely unlucky.

Wide open.
Couple times Yakwe closed hard. I actually noticed it because no one else did.

They made the open ones and also made the contested ones. Again, the defense was horrible, we gave up a lot of open shots, but Providence also couldn't miss.

I can honestly say I have never seen so many uncontested shots in a game. At least a game I had a rooting interest in. And I root for the Knicks where supposedly there is a stat on closing out shooters. Derrick Rose was supposedly the worst in the league at it last year. Can't imagine Carmelo being far behind. Last night was as bad as any I have seen.

Again? No one should be happy. No one should be giving up either.

Was explaining the Doom and Gloom. Normally "just one loss" would be an acceptable response to the Baldi's on the forum. Reason for abnormal amout of D & G was the effort. Understandable.

Two games in which we will be heavy dogs. Easier said then done especially if Ponds is hurting.

Their 3 point shooting was ridiculous. True there were enough slow closeouts but there were also plenty of unconscious pull up Nba range threes.

Ben Cartwright had one for the ages shooting 70%+ from the field and from downtown and 15, not a misprint, assists.  Some kind of record?

We couldn't turn them over or bother them with pressure enough to make it a track meet and not sure we had the horses to do it anyway without Marcus.  One half court possession after another.

Unfortunately, another lost opportunity for fan base momentum squandered as the beyond capacity crowd left early and disappointed as "Let's go Friar's" chants rained down from the cheap seats.

In a self loathing fan kind of way I'm pleased as all the pre-conference season success and hope was giving me angst.
