Coach Anderson Recruiting

Word out on the trail last weekend was Hsu was really bidding his services (mostly LJ's) around hard. Not many had positive things to say about him. Slime and sleaze were words repeatedly used amongst his peers to describe him.

Nor did anyone think Anderson and him would ever work well together.

So there's Alex Arias and Hsu controlling LJF's future? How much of a influence do both of them have on his decision, are they comfortable with him being a 23 year old junior elsewhere and do we have a realistic shot of retaining him with Hsu now out of the picture?

He's a pro prospect in the making with a big year in the NY spotlight next season, I don't understand any of the handler bargaining given his age and transfer restrictions tbh.

So what happened? He didn't want to join the SJU staff? Because if that's what he's gonna claim now then he's a liar, or you are.

Where did I even hint that he wouldn’t come here?  He’d be here tomorrow if the money and title were right. He was never even a candidate after Mullin left. Maybe that changes in the 11th hour like our head coaching search.

It’s not as simple as being at the biggest school. He wants to be a head coach and taking a second assistant role at St. John’s or a similar school probably puts him further away from that goal than being associate head coach at WKU if they are successful. He was 3-1 as interim head coach this past season.

This is false. You know as well as anyone on here how spiteful opposing coaches can be when someone is recruiting well like Hsu. I’m surprised you would even post it.

LJ isn’t going anywhere. He’s not being shopped and certainly not by Hsu who just wants him to commit to WKU. That’s literally his job. He wasn’t even talking to St. John’s.

They don’t have some special bond. Hsu recruited him to NMSU and then LJ didn’t follow him and the head coach to New Mexico when they left. Why would he have some power over LJ now?

And for everyone claiming how Hsu and Anderson are so different, please don’t be naive. Hsu has been cleared of all minor charges (not so different than Jay Wright) and assistant coaches don’t go rogue on their own.

Also, Andersonhas had at least two assistants who have been FIRED for cheating at some point in their career.  He may be clean relative to some coaches but NOBODY is completely clean.
