Is the Big East better then the ACC?

The Big East has more ranked teams then the ACC.

BUT the ACC does have the number ranked team Duke and the so called odds on favorite to win it all in UNC

During the ND v Marquette game they were talking about Big East vs. the ACC and both Bilas and Raftery were saying the BE is by far the better conference. The other commentator said "they are saying that the ACC is better than the Big East." And Raftery says "who is they? Do you mean Coach K?"

Raftery is the best color man in sports, and it is not even close IMO. 

agreed...raftery is an outstanding listen.

i liked him better when he was coaching seton hall and we could pile up big wins against them..

As I've stated before, i believe the big east is better... and i'm just curious, was your last poll option directed toward Marillac at all?

Coming into the season I would of said the Big East but now it i s easly the ACC not only do they have higher ranking teams but they have better depth at the bottom.

I can see MD , MIA & BC doing damage in our league

NC State & Florida state are better than STJ SH SF RUG Cin & Pro

Virginia is just as bad as South Florida, Depaul and Rutgers.
Florida State is a good team. So is NC State. BC is good, too.
Maryland is having a down year.

Overall, it's not a fair comp because we have 16 teams. Sure 8 might be great, but the other 8 are not.

Post this poll on a UNC website and the results would the the opposite.

Excluding the ACC tournament, Wake only has to play UNC once this season.

The ponderous size of the Big East makes it a useless comparison.
Lunardi has 9 of the 16 BE teams (56%) getting in from the Big East, but even that includes ND, which has a 70+ RPI and games at Pitt and UCLA on the very near horizon. He has the comparable 7 of the 12 (57%) ACC teams, without BC, with an RPI of 51.
