I went to the game, too. That intentional foul call was unbelievable.
That ref should never be allowed inside MSG again.

Does anyone think we have a decent chance tomorrow?

Minus D. James... I say yes. It will still be tuff.

I am going to be optimistic and say we put it out by 2 points.  :D

I'm really surprised by the arrogance of the Marquette fans. They think this will be a walkover game and they're happy to play the Johnnies. Lets play the upset role. I still have bitter feelings from our last BE tourney matchup 2 seasons ago.

This is why I like Buzz Williams in my limited knowledge of him. The dude is a stat spitter and pays attention to fine detail.

"Within what they're doing offensively, it's just ball screen after ball screen after ball screen, so you've got to make your decisions on your coverage with those two guys in relation to who's setting those screens," said Williams, who noted that St. John's set 88 ball screens in its game with MU last month.

"That's where they've had success, and that's where they had success today."

"So they set ball screens, and primarily one of those perimeter guys is going to shoot it, and then those big guys are going to chase it. And they've done a really good job."

Depaul to the quarterfinals?  They're giving Providence all they can handle.

After all the hype of the Big East this year probably only 7 teams get in.

“They scored three baskets [in the first half] so it was relatively close [to perfect defense],” first-year Marquette coach Buzz Williams said.
--------------
St. John’s ended the fifth year of the Norm Roberts Era at 16-17, but did win three of its final five. Roberts is now 64-83 over his St. John’s career.

The administration has repeatedly said it will continue to back him going forward.

“They made the plays and we didn’t but there’s nobody that’s going to tell me that things aren’t bright,” Roberts said of his team’s future. “And we’re moving totally in the right direction. I love my guys, I love how hard they try.”

Rece Davis summed it up nicely...

"St. John's was brutal and that's putting it kindly"

"St. had 10 points in the first half...the entire first half...the same number of turnovers they had"

"It was beyond horrific"
