Carnesecca Scoreboard

Well since the site is under construction still, I'll break some news here which hasn't been released yet.

St. John's new scoreboard will be a new light emitting diode (LED) video displays.

It will be a four-sided centerhung video display. The video displays feature 10 mm pixel resolution and measure six feet, six inches high by almost 12 feet wide, with corner static displays stating, “We Are St. John’s.”

Here is a sneak peak at what it will look like...

I just hope it's high enough so no one can hit it with their punts.  LOL

I just looked at the latest pics of the CA renovation.  I was hoping they would raise the ceiling but it still looks too low.  The scoreboard is gonna hang down and make it look even lower.  I think that makes the whole place look smaller.  I giess it makes it louder and more intimidating to the opponents.

Hmm I was under the impression they were going to "dome" the ceiling as well but at the looks of the pics that is not the case. I'll be curious to see the finished product

I disagree... I think the "open ceiling" effect is better that the look with missing acoustical tiles... reminded me of a few friends basements growing up.

And won't the new video board sit exactly were the old "boom box" speaker set sat?
