Boothe's jumper
« on: November 21, 2009, 02:40:29 PM »
Last night every shot seemed to be lined up but always hit the back of the rim.  His form doesn't look bad.  While he will never be able to get his shot off against a taller defender, he should be able to make the adjustment and hit the open jumper.  It seems to me that some coaching should be able to correct that problem.  Can the staff bring in a shooting coach to help him with it?

An interesting thing Boothe said after the St. Bonnies game: When asked what he was thinking as he approached the free throw line at the end of the game, he responded that he knew the free throws were going in, he was thinking about getting back on D to prevent them from making the last shot.  He needs that kind of confidence when he puts up a jumper.  Hardy has it.  I hope it's contagious.

Boothe was okay on offense last night.
Hardy was very good.

Neither played any d. That's the real problem.
Boothe can average 4ppg if he plays d, but our new
thing seems to be score a basket, and lollygag.
