I wish Norm would be more matter of factly when he speaks. In the pregame for Stony Brook he said "I think" when speaking of Stony Brooks 19 point win over Lehigh. Today he said on Brandon Tierney "I think" when referring to Justin Burrell's 9 points. I want him to KNOW these things. Spit it out off the tip of his tongue. In my opinion a Big East coach should know these fine details.
In an interview with Buzz Williams last year he rattled off that St. John's executed 87 ball screens and scored 26 points off of them. (I made those numbers up but he knew that precisely). He 100% without a doubt knew what he was talking about.
Even though in both cases Norm knew what he was talking about for appearances he shouldn't be so nonchalant about it. Have some swagger and some confidence like thats right I eat, sleep, and breathe this stuff. Nothing is causal all serious business.
Then again the cure to all of this is to keep winning games and I hope we do that. I did like how he stuck up for Justin Burrell and didn't throw him under the bus.
