Having three starters planted on the bench next to coach Norm Roberts didn't seem to distract St. John's last night against Georgia. Neither did losing Justin Burrell to an injury or rushing Rob Thomas back from one.
Roberts has talked about turning a negative into a positive, and that's what he claims they did in last night's 66-56 win in the SEC-Big East Invitational at the Garden.
Roberts said the Red Storm got to learn a valuable lesson, deal with a minor distraction and even show off their vaunted depth.
