Kennedy one of the best in the Big East? [MSG.com]

It's time to start mentioning D.J. Kennedy as one of the better players in the Big East. The southpaw simply doesn't have bad games and is one of the few players around the country that can continually produce without being the focal point of an offense.

His 19 points and 15 rebounds in Sunday's 72-60 win over Hofstra in the Holiday Festival is a strong indication that Kennedy is ready for a big year in conference play.

It sure is. DJ, Hardy and Brownlie can really make a statement tonight going into conference play.

DJ was ridiculous last night. He's a beast.  He went up on 2-3 occasions and just ripped the ball from two Hofstra bigs.  I'm convinced if Norm asked him to just rebound and play low without any PG or scoring duties, he'd average 12-12-3 .

The thing that really impresses me about DJ is how he can dominate a game even when his shot is not falling.

He really needs to start playing in the first half of games.  Norm should probably draw up the first play for DJ.
