QUEENS, N.Y. - Looking to ring in the New Year in style in our nation's capital, the St. John's men's basketball team (10-2, 0-0 BIG EAST) takes on its second Top 25 opponent of the year and its first conference foe of the season, renewing its longtime rivalry with No. 13/13 Georgetown (9-1, 0-0 BIG EAST) on Thursday, Dec. 31. Tip-off from Washington, D.C.'s, Verizon Center is scheduled for 8 p.m. before the New Year's ball drops, in a nationally televised contest on ESPN2, with Lou Canellis and Bill Raftery calling the action.

Gotta love the timing here.  I expect G'town to have little to no home court advantage due to the the students being out of school AND the late start on New Year's eve.  Should be an empty house.

Always have to love when you play a team blatantly overranked.  G'town is nowhere the 13th best team in the country.  It's almost laughable, but a win here could propel us into the top 20-25.  A loss here and we will not even flirt with it the rest of the season.

I could not hear what Justin stated about his anckle. Is he going to play?
