So, I'm going to try and keep this updated as much as possible with the standings in the conference and where our Johnnies stand.
SHU's win over Pitt yesterday means St. Johns is in a 3-way tie for 12th in the Big East at 2-5. USF and Marquette are also at 2-5 in the league.
However, the worse news is that 2 of the 3 teams ahead of us, Providence and UConn, won the head-to-head against us which really gives them an extra game advantage in case of a tie in the standings at the end of the year. This means it's somewhat unlikely for SJU to move up much in the standings.
Our games vs. USF and Marquette will likely decide where we end up, but at least at this point, there looks to be a fairly good chance that we finish in the bottom 4 of the league.
