Other than that its been a normal job search.  People or overreacting because of the shoddy reporting from the Post and Daily News.

I like Skinner and McCaffrey.  If those guys don't take it and Sendek or Capel are not interested then you go to Kevin Willard.  I want no part of Baron or Amaker(can't believe I even have to say that).

Mike Rice and Mooney are just after Willard.  Liked how their teams played. 

But interview all these guys and make sure they would take it before you offer.  I'm VERY happy we didn't overpay for Greenberg.

Who cares? They'll b gone in a year.
They'll have a better coach. Clearly they don't know the difference if they wanted Roberts to stick around.

Of the remaining candidates being mentioned, my list would be (a) McCaffery (b) Willard (c) Jackson.  I don't want any part of Skinner, Baron, or Amaker.

Willard is an intriguing candidate due to his quick success at Iona.  From what people have mentioned on this board, he has a good recruiting record and is familiar with the NY landscape.  Unfortunately, he really has no postseason experience, which is why the nice persons running this search won't consider him.

Who cares? We all should care what potential recruits must b thinking. Recruits will have 4 yrs.

Willard is a complete question mark. He may or may not one day wind up being a quality high-major head coach, but he hasn't accomplished anything of note. AS LONG As long as we're going the limited success in the MAAC route, they might as well interview Ed Cooley. If it's trying to find the next young thing, Capel is less than two months older than lil' Willard and he's already taken two programs to the NCAA Tournament.

Besides the fact that as a DeWkIe he's ineligible to be SJ head coach:

Eleven of his 22 scholarship players at OU have transferred. One player (Keith Gallon) is accused of accepting payments from an agent, two were arrested for shoplifting, and another was arrested for DUI - the same player had earlier in the year been stabbed multiple times "in a melee involving guns, knives and tire irons at a private function."

Unacceptable.
