Polee is not universally highly rated. Guys like Lamont Hamilton, Daryll Hill, Q Calhoun, Justin Burrell all came with some excitement over their potential, I think they were top 100 on Rivals (I believe).
They were called out by maybe one source, but they weren't highly rated universally. I think Hill was top 20 on ESPN one summer. Monty was never top 100, but he had a solid 4 star rating.
Calhoun was always an ehh, prospect. Never supposed to be great.
And he wasn't.
Burrell came in with some fanfare. Top 50 in some circles, but then not even ranked in others.
Polee is coming off an impressive award, but we really don't know what to expect out of him because he plays so far away. Hopefully, he'll fit right in as a slasher who can put it on the floor, and finish.
We could use one of those.
