Moe Harkless, JaKarr Sampson and Dom Pointer are ALL playing at iS8 tomorrow and Harkless, Sampson and Jevon Thomas all play at the Variety Boys & Girls Club on Sunday

Pointer's team plays tomorrow at 12 noon and 3PM.  Sampson and Harkless' team play at 4:15 tomorrow.  Address for the gym is: 10835 167th St, Jamaica, NY 11433-2945 (No charge for admission on either day)

On Sunday, Jevon Thomas' team plays at 11:30am and Harkless/Sampson's team plays at 12:45pm.  Address for the Variety Boys & Girls club is: 21-12 30th Road, Long Island City, NY 11102

Come out and SUPPORT your future Johnnies.  Both gyms are close to the St. John's campus, so hopefully a few students will show up.

I would definitely be there but I'm in Providence at a Hoop Group Jam Fest this weekend. IS8 is definitely a great venue with plenty of tradition. A lot of fun to experience the whole environment there

Got a chance to see Pointer. Sampson and Harkless at IS8 today. They are very athletic and we should be in for a treat next year. Pointer is very unselfish. He handles the ball better than I thought and has no problem finishing. Also play tough D. Harkless is very smooth and reminds me of Malik Sealy. He had on dunk today where it looked like he was just going to lay it in and he turned it over and threw it down, nasty. Sampson looks like he can just run and jump all day. Harkless and Sampson played on the same team while Pointer played with the Sean Bell All Stars. Games were blowouts, waiting for the playoffs to see them against tougher competition.

CORRECTION for tomorrow's games: Harkless/Sampson play at 2PM, NOT 12:45.  Jevon Thomas' team still set to play at 11:30AM.

Today's games were good. Pointer's left ankle was hurt during the 2nd game he played (I wasnt there for his first) so he was only playing on one good foot.  He was OK, but his ankle was hurt so he lacked some explosiveness.  Sampson and Harkless were both very impressive.  Blew out a team which featured players going to Pitt, Nova and Rutgers.

One more UPDATE, I just found out that Jevon Thomas is in Dallas for an AAU tournament this weekend and will NOT be playing in Queens tomorrow.

Dang, I wish I knew that.  I live in Dallas and would have shot up to Frisco.  Oh well.

Mo Hark reminds me of a smaller poor mans version of Kevin Durant which is high praise indeed!

Mo and Jakaar were awesome today... it was a blowout so it became a dunkfest (one was a sick windmill) and a 3 point shooting display for Mo.. these 2 have very nice handles and will be very useful if teams press on us ala Brownlee

If you told me Jakarr would be as good as brownlee, no worse or no better, but just as good, I would sign up for it right away.
And this is just an example of my love for Brownlees game.

Very small court probably helps the handle look a little better :)  You can get across that thing in like 5 dribbles lol.

Celtic, I likek the Mo comparison to Durant.  I see it.

True the court was short but you can see that they are comfortable bringing the ball down.  I would definitely trust them with the ball more than Polee.

Playoffs are slated to begin NEXT weekend.  This could change depending on how many regular season games need to be made up, but playoffs most likely starting next weekend.
