For those close to the program, how is Rico progressing as an assistant?
I'm a huge fan of Rico's. Suffered for years with the double whammy of being both a Steve Lavin AND Rico Hines fan while still posting regularly on the UCLA boards.
I know the success he's had in the pros as a training coach. I'm just curious how those watching him close up this past year feel he's adapting to the very unique requirements of of an aspiring Elite D-1 schools assistant? Is he showing the potential for an eventual head coaching gig down the road?
