Louisville - 94
SJU - 77
Going against Pitino, who is coming off a two game losing streak, without having Lavin on the bench to sprinkle his MSG magic, is just plain unfortunate for us. Forgetting our lack of depth, I think physically we match up pretty well against Louisville, and I'm sure Dunlap has drawn up a great game plan, but Pitino is a master of managing game flow, and Dunlap, by his own admission (see quotes from NY Post), just can't, and won't, match up IMHO.
Dunlap: “It’s an unusual chair — in that the buck stops with you — and you’ve got to counter what the opponent is doing, you’ve got to counter surges, you’ve got to try and play hot hands,’’ “There are a lot of decisions you have to make that are snap. Each game it gets more comfortable for me.”
I'm not trying to place the potential blame at Dunlap's feet, but in a game like this one, it just puts us at that much more of a disadvantage.
