AP Story

Moe Harkless' putback at the buzzer gave St. John's a 57-55 victory Saturday, ending the Bearcats' seven-game winning streak and giving the Red Storm its first road win of the season.
St. John's (8-7, 2-2 Big East) opened the second half with a 21-3 run and led by 15 points midway through the half. Cincinnati (12-4, 2-1) finally hit some 3s — the Bearcats were 7 of 32 from behind the arc — to take it down to the last play.
Cincinnati's Jeremiah Davis made a 3 from the corner that tied it at 55 with 8.9 seconds left. St. John's called a timeout with 3.5 seconds to go after getting the ball across midcourt.

WHAT IT MEANS: St. John's picks up its first road win of the season, in extremely dramatic fashion (see below), against a Cincinnati team that had won seven in a row. Coming off double-digit losses to UConn and Louisville, this has to be a big confidence boost for the young Red Storm. St. John's is now 8-7 overall, 2-2 in Big East play.

HOW DRAMATIC? With the game tied at 55 and three seconds left, D'Angelo Harrison drove baseline, his runner went in and out, and Moe Harkless tipped it in at the buzzer for the game-winning bucket.

The future of St. John’s basketball was glimpsed Saturday afternoon. It could be something to behold.

The Red Storm tapped into all the potential fans have been expecting to see from this heralded recruiting class and stunned host Cincinnati 57-55 at Fifth Third Arena to snap the Bearcats’ seven-game win streak and earn its first road win of the season.

Moe Harkless went up to tip-in D’Angelo Harrison’s missed drive along the baseline at the final regulation buzzer to give the Johnnies (8-7, 2-2 Big East) the win.

Officals had to review the play to make sure the tip-in came before the final buzzer. When they did, the Johnnies piled on each other, elated.

I like that the Post ran the story with "Cunningham" still in it. Are we sure Lenny Robbins didn't write it?
