Anyone think Moe doesn't win BE rookie of the year?  Notwithstanding his biggest competition is D'Angelo and his higher scoring average, Moe's accomplishments this year seem more impressive when you view what Moe must do to contribute to the team's success (play out of his natural position, bang bodies with the bigs on a small team, grab at least 8 rebounds and score 15+ a game).  I love them both, but I think Moe gets the nod. Either way, we win!

I agree I really hope they share the award.  Both are deserving and I think it would be better for team chemistry if they split the award.

Choz makes a great point, and one that I did not consider.  Crazy, but SJU has only had 1 RoY, and I think it was David Russell back in 1980 or 81.  Last time BE RoY honors were shared was, I think, in 2005 between Rudy Gay and that guy from G'Town (can't remember his name), so it's possible for the H&H boys to win it together, and entirely appropriate.

It would make great press for them both to win. Let them both end strong, and I think it's theirs.

It has been Co-Rookie of the year twice in Big East:

2004-05 season: Rudy Gay and Jeff Green.
2007-08 season: DeJuan Blair and Jonny Flynn.

Neither situation had 2 players on one team. The split vote makes it tougher.

I'm sure the coaches vote for ROY in a blind/closed vote.  The odds of them getting the exact same number of votes is slim.  Although,  I agree it would be fitting.

They really should share it.  They both deserve it and are the leaders hands down.
