This is where waiting around with extra ships can benefit at the end of the day.

Moose's point earlier!

“@TheRecruitScoop: With the termination of coach Seth Greenberg, the situation of Hokies signee Montrezl Harrell will be very interesting. He is a 2012 SF.”

More intersting are some of the frosh/sophs at VT.  6'8 frosh Dorian Finney-Smith, who can play 4 positions, or 6'8 soph Jerrel Eddie, who can play 3 would be nice to have in 2014 after a transfer year.  Both were RSCI top 60 guys.   6'8 Frosh PF CJ Barksdale was an RSCI top 100.  6'9 245 Soph Cadarian Raines (also RSCI top 100) would be appealing, but he's already used his redshirt year.   Robert Brown a 6'5 SG is a potential big scorer and lockdown defender, and was RSCI top 80.

Unless VT pulls a name coach out of the hat very quickly, there's likely to be a massive exodus from Blacksburg.  And Seth had stockpiled a LOT of talent.  But for an incredible injury/illness bug, this MIGHT have been a 25 win season, instead of 15 wins.  They lost 4 potential starters to injury, and Sr. guard Dorenzo Hudson, who was all ACC three years ago, sat out the 2011 season with a knee, never came anywhere close to all the way back.  In 2010 he'd had a 50 pt game for the Hokies....

Right now, the story around town is it's a matter of abrasive "Big City" coach finally grating on the nerves of hick school Admin and big-buck boosters.  Seths a no-nonsense, tell you to your face what he thinks kind of guy.  Didn't schmooze the alumni with the aplomb shown by Frank Beamer on the football side (and Beamer's a local kid/Hick - from Fancy Gap VA and a VT Grad).....As I say, that's the STORY around town here.  We'll see....

I doubt it.

He has come back to Kansas.

I was joking.  Being an AHC fits Coach Roberts better than being a HC.  Coach, know thy limits!

Being Judas sometimes pays off.

“@GoodmanCBS: Virginia Tech has hired former Seth Greenberg assistant James Johnson, who just left for Clemson. source told CBSSports. Story coming.”

“@TheRecruitScoop: With the hiring of James Johnson, Virginia Tech increases their chances of keeping top 2012 recruit Montrezl Harrell on board.”

Wow, I know they had a terrible season but he only got 3 years after the mess left to him by Kevin Broadus?

And Rothstein on the ball as usual...someone tell him the next live recruiting period is not until July....

Nuri must be devastated.  Another coach left him high and dry.

Maybe Rider should go after Dunlap.
That would go over well with Nuri.
