Chandler may our may not qualify.  We need another big...doesn't have to be true center.  We only have one big that weighs over 200 pounds right now.

Differential is much much more important than RPG.

Which is the better rebounding team
One that outrebounds its opponent 25-20
or the one that gets outrebounded 35-30 ?

Physical big east with lots of foul shots (?) and slow offensive sets will affect RPG

I hope next years team rebounds as well as the 10/11 team.
Achuiwa already showed he's a below average rebounder
I fear that without another Big (Chandler or Obekpa or other) we will have trouble

Interesting to see how we were ranked 288 that year and everyone complained how we were on the boards but as you correctly pointed out the rebounding difference was not that significant.  Kind of goes back to another thread on Redmen where I stated how I felt rebounding wasn't an important stat and often overrated.

That being said I'd like to see Gift's number in normal minutes not the minutes he saw last year.  Gift is a 15 mpg player in the BE.  Lets see how he boards when he knows he doesn't have to play a whole game.

Rebounding may not be impt but only if you are strong in other areas of the game like shooting or D.

Hope that Montrezl Harrell asks out of his NLI and VT grants it with Seth gone.  I saw him Sat. night at Cap Classic - Harrell is a legit 6'7"
and 225 lbs.  It's just not what the staff needs at this point, but if no centers come our way for whatever reason, I'd try to land Harrell in a heart beat - he's a tough competitor who does not let up.

He is a beast!
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Impressive! Noticed South Carolina recruited him. I can see new coach racing to get him if available.

According to the Rivals website only Bourgault has signed a letter of intent. They list Sampson, Balamou and Sanchez as verbals.
