Player A vs Player B
« on: February 15, 2013, 04:02:53 PM »
I love these.  Figured I'd give my shot at one.

Player A-

18.2 ppg
2.2 apg
4.3 rpg
1.4 spg
2.2 tpg
40.3 FG%
77.9 FT%
31.2 3%
35 mpg

Player B-
18.6 ppg
2.7 apg
3.7 rpg
2.1 spg
2.5 tpg
39.8 FG%
81.1 FT%
32.5 3%
30 mpg

Who are they?  And who would you say is on the Wooden List?

Yes they do.  Yes they do.
It means either Russ Smith shouldnt be on Wooden List or Harrison should :)

Here is the link so you can look at some of the more Nerd Stats like clutch factors, plus minus, etc.

I think Russ Smith is a more complete offensive player. Can score off the dribble better than D-lo.

That 5 minute stretch he had was great. D-lo can do that as well, but usually it consists of him hitting 25 footers.  Smith can do more, specifically on the defensive end. His own defense creates a lot of his offense.

Russ Smith as a Soph v. D'Lo as a Soph.  Who do you take?

Here are the numbers adjusted for Russ as Jr.

Assists and steals seem to be the only stats where Russ wins.  (Not sure I'm good at reading these statistical charts)

Edit:  I just went back and looked at Freshman numbers.  DLo had a HUGE advantage due to playing in our 6-man rotation.  He certainly had a big head start.

Last year?  Last year apg were equal.  Russ had more steals.  PPG no contest Dee blew him away.  Yea Dee has had big start from freshman year on.

Russ. I think he wanted to come back and play college ball as a junior. Does Harrison look forward to being here next year. Of course no way of knowing for sure unless your his pal. Just wondering what you guys think.
