Wonder why we haven't gotten involved with the kid?   He's literally been playing basketball only 1 year....Was at Montverde Academy, but has transferred to the Rock School (also in Florida).

Agree, the kid looks fantastic for a 7 footer.  Quite polished and athletic for a guy that size.  I'd take him in a heartbeat. 

If he's legit and down in Gainesville Billy D will be tough to beat.

I dunno.  Billy D's actually been incredibly weak with the Montverde/immigrant kids.    They've sent 29 players to Division 1 schools since 2004, NONE to Florida.  James Bell at Nova is probably the best of the schools Big East Alumni.   Luc Mbah A Moute and Solomon Alabi have both reached the NBA...

You may be right but the UCLA kid as you stated was an under rated kid and don't know how big time the other 2 were. Billy D teams never seem to lack elite talent.

Of course they don't.  Can't win two NCAA titles without LOTS of talent.   But immigrant kids?  Not really Billy D's target group.   Put it this way - tho on the kids list, Chris Obekpa never got an offer from Florida.   7'1 Nigerian Solomon Alabi also had Florida on HIS list.   Never got an offer.  The local kid was #27 in the RSCI, the #5 ranked center.

The Rock wouldn't waste his time putting a school in Gainesville.
