What I don't understand is why any one takes the time or effort to reply to anything Mirabella posts. If people stopped answering she/he would go away. Let's stop already. Enough drivel.

Because I grew up defending myself. And I will continue to. She's not going away regardless

I'm guessing Joe3.  Us old guys need to actually see the real thing before we get excited.

Tough crowd.  :-[  Orange had won 36 in a row at home before this one.  Longest home win streak in D1.  This highly predictable outcome has now bumped them to 37.  This loss wasn't embarressing, frustrating, maddening or anything of that sort.  They're just bigger and better than us accross the board.  Save the venom for when we lose a game in which we actually had a chance.

Reminder:  Drink early and often during our next game. It'll help ease the pain.

Let's go Redmen!

I am hoping D-Lo(if he stays & doesnt bolt for Europe) can flip the switch with the staff like Dion waiters did with Jimmy B. That situation was similar.
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Exactly.  If anyone goes into either that game or our next expecting a win, you are going to be in for a rude awakening.  The next two are an unfortunate rough spot in our schedule.  We can only hope it toughens them up for the remaining games after it where we know what we need.

Never expected a win there.  In fact I had posters saying that I was too negative when I predicted it wouldn't be close.  My post was directed DLo's play during the game.  It was not about winning or losing the game, and yes, DLo has hit some big shots for us during the season, but my comments were about his performance in yesterday's game.  It's one thing to be off, it's another to put yourself in a position where you are taking bad shots and making the game all about "you".  If you played or watched the game you know how discouraging it is to have a team mate who takes it on himself to perform in such a manner.  It is actually a slap in the face to the team itself.  But debating such points on this site is tiresome.  When someone calls my postings drivel, it is obvious that they are either too young to understand the topic or not swift enough to get it period.  I know I am debating with some established posters on this one and sort of expected some of the hate coming my way, but to watch what I saw yesterday turned my stomach. But what the heck, watching some NBA play, with the dancing and posing after made baskets, and players, ala Carmelo Anthony who stopped playing cause Jeremy Linn was getting too much fan fare and, wanted to get rid of Dantoni as well ( who our college players seem to emulate) I guess this is the culture of the sport and who am I to question it.

"debating such points on this site is tiresome."
Especially when it is same theme over and over and over.

Is everyone ready for me to Breakdown the Cuse game? Ok here we go.
Cuse is better than us and I thought we did a good job keeping it as close as we did. Was basically a 8-10 point game the whole way.
Cuse is more athletic than us and has shot makers.
Louisville will be rough as well. Hopefully they keep it close and we win 4 of remaining 5 and one BET game. If not NIT is acceptable.

Yeah, I didn't care how the game was coached by Hines today.  We needed man-to man do or some other zones, not a 2-3.  I think that was our worst option probably.  You actually can use ball screens vs 2-3 though. If you don't, you'll almost never get open or even get an entry pass.

Really Mrs Lavin?
See I thought it was just poor execution by the players.
You can't have it both ways. If you refuse to accept any criticism towards Lavin, you can't criticize Hines who most likely used Lavin's game plan and was in a tough spot against a better team!

If Hollywood misses the Louisville game and comes back in time for the game we'll be double digit favorites in...then he really is a coaching genius.
