Villanova Game - BET - Player of the Game
« on: March 14, 2013, 08:26:56 AM »
Really just a choice between Jakarr and Phil, from last night.   My vote goes to Sampson, they shot about the same from the field, but Jakarr also kept us respectable on the boards.

But I can't blame the fan club if they vote for their guy this time around, Greene played well.

I guess in some sort of parallel universe where 27% from the field is the same as 37% from the field.  The square the obvious PoG choice for the 2nd consecutive game.  I think an apology and admittance of being wrong from all the haters is warranted.  Don't be afraid.  The truth shall set you free.

Playing the walkon reminded me of Billy Martin's last stint as Yankee manager. Right before Ed Whitson beat him up and he got fired for the last time he was doing all sorts of bizarre things. I am not a Yankee fan and I remember the  most famous being, him having Mike Pagluirillo hit righty in a game. Problem of course was Pags was a lefty. Maybe Lavin has been nipping at coach Keady's Maker's Mark during games. :)
Well if Marco beats him up in a hotel bar after a CBI gmae it is clearly history repeating itself.

Before my time as a Yankee fan as well but wasn't it when they replayed the George Brett game where he put people in all weird positions on the field.

That was a protest , designed to make the replayed inning a farce. That was somewhat understandable and I think it was in one of his earlier stints as manager.

5-18, 7-19 ... roughly the same Carmine.   You're splitting hairs, especially when my next line included     "... Greene played well."
