A walk on doesn't have to pay to go a road game.
While this isn't a normal road game its still NCAA approved.

Walkons get everything scholarship athletes do except for the scholarship: Sneakers, clothing, equipment, meal money, transportation, hotels, etc. are not a problem.
Actually meals aren't included.

This refers to walkons having to pay for on campus meals at SJU which makes sense as "room and board" is something that's often part of an athletic scholarship which walkons by definition wouldn't receive. When traveling with the team to road games/tournaments, walkons get the same meal allowance as everybody else. Trust me - I know about this. I used to coach.
I'm not doubting what you know. On the road of course they get same priveledges mthey are part of the team. On campus however sounds like they need to pay up to sit at the Training Table
They get everything the team receives from the basketball program, off or on campus. Meals plans come from the school, not the program.

No not saying that. Training tables are provided by the school, its not exclusive to the basketball program. If its ran like other universities, all students have access to it, they just have to pay the going meal rate. No one eats for free, there is a cost, athletes do pay for it, it comes from there scholarship. So if you don't have a scholarship then naturally you pay out of pocket. If the basketball program treats the team to a meal, then no one pays but the program. That is what I meant when I said non scholarship players receive the same benefits from the basketball program as scholarship players.
