Does he have to give the car keys and pocket change back to the Louisville boosters?

I called this one a while back.
There's no way that Bill Barton (his former coach and principal at ND Prep) was going to let him qualify academically at any school other than Duquesne.

Once a recruit passes through clearinghouse hes eligible for D1 ball, PERIOD. also, other teams would have taken him and from what ive heard, he isnt as bad at this point academically as his reputation has made him out to be.

As yourself who controlled his ND Prep grades and that's all you'll need to know.  Was clear as day that he'd end up at Duquesne once Louisville lost interest.

Another statement with ZERO proof...

he did control them last year.  i definitely agree that a huge reason that melquan committed to duquesne is because of barton, but i dont think his eligibility had much to do ith it.  i wouldnt be surprised if  the current ND prep people that like barton pushed him there, or barton called in a favor to put in a good word for them.

By whatever means they got him, he's a quality grab for an A-10 program.

A10 was better than the Big East last year. Take a look at head to head.
We have something to prove. Umass beat Cuse twice?

Dayton over Louisville. Pitt lost to someone, too.
