Players after games

Is it normal for the players to head home on their own after games?

Caught my attention after Columbia game when DLo left through front entrance with friends; Branch took subway; Greene, Jones, were on street.

Yesterday, Branch took subway after game.

There is a team bus that goes back to campus, but it's not mandatory that everyone takes it back after the game.

Lavin's lack of discipline is showing again.

I believe that it has been this way going back to Fran's years at St. John's.

They stay together the night before the games at the Garden at a hotel in Manhattan.

Not uncommon for most teams who play in off campus arenas.

Just curious, how do you know how and where the players go after the game, do you stand by the exit?

Isn't this one of the beautiful things about playing at MSG and in Manhattan?  This is one of our big selling points.  What is better than a big win at msg and going out with your buddies after in the city?

Maybe they're ordering Shirley Temple's?  Because we all know that nobody ever drinks while they're in college.

After attending the Georgetown game last night I went to Stout for a victory beverage. On my way back to Penn station I bumped into Dom and Rysheed walking out of MSG. I shook both their hands and told to keep up the good play. Then Obekpa was on my LIRR train back to the island. He got off at Jamaica with some friends. All 3 were all smiles and were very friendly, especially Rysheed who genuinely appreciated my compliments. I love the fact that these kids can go out into the best city in the world after a big win and feel the love of the alumni/fans. For a kid like Rysheed who clearly had his doubts about being here that has to feel especially good.
