This has become a mid major program. Time to accept it
Baldi - I can take reading it once, maybe twice, but check back on your posts.  Now you're harping on it.

I like the Manhattan/Iona rivalry, but a Manhattan grad is sayin' - you are trying to bring SJ's down to Iona's (and Manhattan's for that matter) level - ain't gonna happen.  Stop beating the drum when it's a) not true; b) not going to come true.

If you stated Sj's SOMETIMES plays a game at mid-major level, I could accept that as reasonable.  Mid-majors aren't chopped liver anymore, so no harm there.  But don't rile me up - I'll call Mazzella to straighten you out...  :knuppel2:

I can't say I disagree with Baldi much of the time.  What I don't understand is how Realfan, Diehard Johnny and others get banned for doing exactly what Baldi does.

Baldi writes nothing but anti St John's posts.  I understand his penis envy as an Iona fan, but come on.  Be fair and let the others back.

Baldi and Dave bonded at the BEB get together and Dave is eternally grateful that what Baldi did to Carmine did not happen to him

What happened between Baldi and Carmine back in the day?

Ever seen Ned Beatty in the Deliverance?

Honestly everything was going well until it started to get late and Bluto suggested body shots. WASJU got out of there faster then basketball players leaving ST John's. Tha Kid, Marillac, Carmine and Dave were not as lucky. Sometimes late at night I can still hear their screams

Somehow large portions of the evening have been blacked out in my memory.  Was I pitching or catching?

My sources were not clear on any of the specifics

I'm not only talking about St Johns. The whole league is Mid Major. Does anyone fear any team in the Big East? Villanova was the most overrated team this year and what happened to Creighton with the POY? They got smacked.  How does St Johns and the league get better next year? I don't like it., I've been a St Johns since I can walk. But this is a shame

Just because the league had a down year doesn't mean they are now all of a sudden "Mid Major" status. This is a new league and it may not get much better next year but it will get better because they can afford to. The teams can afford top coaches who command seven figure salaries. Coaches can attract top talent to come to their programs because the schools can afford to build state of the art practice facilities and play in NBA arenas.

The league may not have preformed well in post seasons tournaments, but most of their regular season games if not all are nationally televised, so the players still get maximum exposure. Good luck finding a Iona game on national television, that's mid major. We are St. Johns!

I don't know why everyone is bragging about TV games.  I don't even know what channel the Big east is on. I have to search for 20 minutes and when I do find the game, I'm upset because I wasted my time. 1 thing I do know, they aren't on ESPN

searching for a game for 20 minutes could mean a few things:

1. You are a broke ass and can't afford a tv package that has an on screen channel and content guide.
2. A remote control is so foreign to you that you fumble around, and hit the volume button instead of the channel button for 20 minutes
3. You are a broke ass again and can't afford the package that includes channels other than ESPN

Outside of those 3 things, your blatant exaggeration makes you look like either someone on welfare, or just a little bitch.

every game was on FS1 AND FS2 , most were in high def. A couple of times my 8 year old set the VCR for me when I was at work and it took 30 seconds. What does that imply Baldi lol

Have you ever said anything nice about SJU? No, never, you come to troll and you always make sarcastic comments in a negative way.  Do you do this with IONA? No, you actually support that MID MAJOR program. I know you have to come on another message board to troll and there is not enough people in a board for IONA.
