NJIT Game - Player of the Game
« on: November 15, 2014, 10:47:13 AM »
(I'll fill in the stats later today)

My vote goes to Obekpa.   He looks like a changed player, much more aggressive, and I'm very impressed with the position he's getting on the offensive end.

Obekpa. But was very impressed with Jordan, Branch, and Pointer.

The seniors, Obek and Sheed are in phenomenal shape. Sheed and Jamal impressed me most last night, they both had sub-par preseasons, where Obek is just simply continuing his dominance right now.  This is going to be a special season.

Obekpa, while he looks slimmer, seems to be much more physical and imposing inside. Instead of getting moved around in the paint, it was him who did the moving. Loved what I saw from him, but my biggest positive takeaway was the team rebounding effort. The first ten minutes of the game we were phenomenal in that regard.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

And that is how the rebounding needs to be all year. Dom, Sheed and Harrison in particular.
