Amir is leaving st. john's

It sounds like things have really started clicking for him since focusing on baseball.  He has a very high upside in baseball, so it looks like he has made the right decision. 

I'll wait until he gets out of A ball before I get excited.

If Amir stays healthy, and begins to learn pitching more while maintaining 90+ mph stuff, he is going to at least get his shot to keep moving up.  But baseball is so damn hard for pitchers. You never know if they'll ever hit the wall before majors, or get hurt, especially pitchers.  I wish him all the best to get there.

Could we have used Amir the last two season or what?  That kid was one of the all-time biggest hustlers and warriors to wear a St. John's uniform.  I've never seen a kid hit the floor harder and more often.

Post of the year was started here never realized we  had more then one Amir 

Adding him to the 40 man today means he's protected from the rule 5 draft.   It doesn't indicate he's major league ready, but it does show the Reds value him.
