Do we normally do a player of the game for losses? I honestly can't remember
Yea we can. Why not.

Triangle hits his second 3 in under a minute to cut the Zags lead to 3.  Hollywood calls an immediate TO.  Was watching with Mrs. A and she commented on it before I said anything.  She couldn't believe it.

That's  the Lavin way, Carmine. Instead of Gonzaga calling a T.O. to change things up, we'll call the T.O. for you   for you could talk it over.
Most coaches keep the play going, so they don't kill their own teams momentum.
Isn't that common f'ing sense?
Yet he's the coach so he must know more then us, right?

The announces were getting on us.
On one offensive possession they were saying "oh this is a horrible offensive set."

The loss hurts so much and I feel so proud at the same time. Need it to be Tuesday already.

Damn, squandered opportunity. Defense played well enough to get this win. Would have thought 19 pts combined from pangos and wiltjer would equal success for us. We just dont shoot it well enough.

Jordan was Jekyll and Hyde tonight.

I definitely feel Sheed needs another year before he even thinks NBA, I feel the same with Chris also but as a shot blocker team may take chance on him.

Sure putting it in Harrison's hands at the end of the game was bad strategy. I'm sure Massiello would have made the perfect call. Spare me!
Ya probably an alley oop to Pointer. Massielo also has backup big men also

that''s your best answer? agree with your statement that we need a PG, Jordan plays like a an off guard.

Dakich was harsh on us but it was accurate. We run horrible offense. Quick shots and poor decision making lead to so many wasted possessions. You need to make the defense work. However bottom line is our guards need to make more shots for us to win games against top teams. We still don't shoot it consistently enough for me to say we can get in the NCAA.

We know the collective basketball IQ is weak on this team and when you combine that with Lavins mediocre to bad coaching it's tough to win a game like last night unless you are shooting lights out.

Just finished watching the game on replay. Impressive and surprising to see the guys come back with Obekpa out.

Do NOT count me in the "they played hard" crowd. It is year 5 with juniors and seniors. You either win the game or you don't win the game. We "played hard" and "fought" last year vs. Cuse, vs. Nova, @ Nova, and @ Creighton in similar fashion and lost them all. Gotta win the games. This is not CYO basketball and we shouldn't be giving out participation medals.

The officiating was poor and we got the short end of it down the stretch for the most part but ya know what? We got a TON of calls in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half vs. Minnesota that helped us chip away at that lead, come back and win that game. It evened itself out here.

Dom played well again, all because he is FINALLY playing to his strengths and it looks like the staff has put him in a position he should be playing in.

The staff needs to re-calibrate Rysheed's thinking as he drives the basketball but he also shouldn't be handcuffed. He needs his head up, on a swivel, and to make the smart play. However I do love his aggressiveness and ultimately we need that to use our quickness and make up for our lack of front court. He made some really boneheaded decisions but I think if staff can help him get his mind right he'll be better.

I think D'Lo's shooting along with our poor FT shooting will improve honestly. Mightve been caused by our guys pressing a bit. Also hoping that Phil's finally-.500 game from the field will get him going after an abysmal shooting start to the year.

As for the attendance, you have to win in this town to get people out. And beating a mid-to-latter Big Ten team in Minnesota doesn't qualify as a big win to generate buzz. If we beat a few known good teams and THEN still don't get fan support, we can then gripe. But again, gotta win the games.

Our wreak havoc defense seems to result in better teams playing down to our level.

Hey - whatever works.

Acknowledging that they played hard is not praising them for playing hard. I think they came out with good energy but executed poorly which left the door open for Gonzaga to hang in.
