Honestly, we looked fine defensively when Obekpa was out. I'm not sure what good bringing in a big stiff would have done. We lost the game by failing to adjust to the zone on offense.
Will that hold up? Who knows.
That's not entirely true. Under 9 mins, Gonzaga fed the low post every chance they got. We tried to front their big men, but got burned a couple of times. They also got a couple (2?) layups because we had no big man to help or threaten from the weak side.
I agree that first and foremost our O stalled against 5 the zone. But we did miss having obekpa I'm there. They also got a number of offensive boards during that stretch to extend their possesion.
