Crazy thought
« on: December 03, 2014, 11:03:08 PM »
Our seniors will be done with classes in December. Today on sportscenter Lavin said they have the options to take classes for fun or begin taking graduate courses. With that in mind does anyone think any of our seniors would consider sticking around for 1 more year for graduate school?  To me Greene seems like he'd be willing. And if he does, could have major influence on Obekpa and Sheed returning.

Thoughts?

Their scholarships are up after the spring semester. No chance that they would stay here to pay 1k a credit and take classes without playing ball while they could be playing pro ball overseas making bank.

Phil Greene would make a good coach one day.  He may benefit from getting a jump on it early and staying on as a GA next season while earning his masters.

So the guy who never listened to the coaching staff or had any court-vision when he was asked to run the offense .... that's the player you think will make a good coach?

And that's going to convince Obekpa and Jordan to return to school?  Oook, good one

I swear that some posters have said "to heck with reality, this is what I want to happen, so im just going to pretend that it makes sense".

Makes as much sense for 6'9 post player who barely weighs 200 pounds with little offensive game to go to NBA. Or a PG who plays shooting guard, who isn't a very good outside shooter and turns the ball over more then he gets assists to leave school early and enter the draft.
Both of these guys are having very good seasons. Its crazy that we are even talking about pro basketball.

Phil is actually a heady kid.  Will probably make a good coach one day.  As for court vision, that is a gift that some are blessed with.

I could see D'Angelo being a good coach some day.

Um not exactly.  That unskilled player you spoke of was the reigning Big East rookie of the year (in the real big east), and had averaged a double double for two seasons.  Surprising that he made an nba squad, but not shocking.

when did sampson become everyone's favorite player to throw under the bus?
We loved him for two seasons. But now he sucked?

Averaged a double double?
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Zendon had far better stats than Jakarr but was not only thrown under the bus, he was buried with it.

Not quite or not close?  The latter.
