Good riddance.... hopefully this fraud Minaya goes at the end of the season.. ;D .. The bottom line is Willie was a TERRIBLE in-game manager & it was time for him to go. Not to mention, this "team" sucks & half the players hate each other as well..  ::) .. btw - Bye, Bye Peterson... u clown!!

Choz..  what do you think is messed up about it..?   the fact he was fired or how they did it..?

I agree with the baseball decision..

The way they handled it is embarrassing to the organization...   low class

U "nailed" it marco.. ;D .. just another reason to use the new "ignore" button.. 8) .. peace!

btw - I think it was time for Willie to go & it had NOTHING to do with the color of his skin. However i do agree that the Met "hierarchy"(the Wilpons are "mickey-mouse" all the way) could & should have handled his ouster much differently. Willie deserved better... On the other hand i did lose a lot of respect for him when he brought up the "race card"..  ::) ... Give me a break. NYC is all about winning & playing hard. And randolph "guided" his team to one of the biggest CHOKES in baseball history last year. Combine that with his & the teams "lackluster" attitude to start this season... and his firing was inevitale. Not to mention, his(and petersons) handling of the pitching staff was a complete joke imo.
