Thanks for posting--I have never read such positive comments by an assistant accepting a job.  Anyone with this enthusiasm for SJU after being a manager during the Norm years is truly an upbeat individual who loves our school.

Matt A's replacement as Iowa st makes 220,000 this next year. Would think Matt is getting more than that from SJU. Way to step up St. John's!

I would think he has earned it, kid appears to be a tireless worker. He has been everywhere making contacts since Hoiberg hired him.

200K+ is more than reasonable salary for a assistant coach.  My guess is Matt A would have left Iowa St for essentially the same amount that he was making.

I think Matt is waiting in the wings, but Chris is here for the long haul.  And it feels good to know that the program is strong from the inside, with its own guys.
