Always something with this team. It’s always easy to respond with a shrug and say no big loss. But when you don’t have depth, every available body helps. Plus every team needs a hype man on the bench, none of our so called leaders bring that energy.

All of these issue are no coincidence either. It starts at the top in every organization. Homers always gonna home and it's always someone else's fault.

This what happens when you take transfers. Would have loved to have Frank Martin ripping into Keita.

I take the other side, this shouldn’t happen when you take a transfer. They had a full season to assess their play (in the case of Keita and Dixon) at the D1 level and they are not what you want? Two years wasted on two roster spots. How much better would we be next year if those two spots went to a HS kid who could have been developing. That’s on the staff.

Did Keita pull an Obekpa?

Not in the smoking weed kind of way, but in the screwing up at the worst possible time way.

Let’s hope he’s back. He’s clearly a WIP, but we’re better with another serviceable big man any day.

The similarity is striking.

I guess the two main characteristics of a St. John's big man are flaking out at the most critical juncture of the season, and the lack of any post moves.

Unfortunately this is the time of year these things happen. It’s not just a St. John’s problem. Players lose focus with the end of the season on sight and the bad boys run out of warnings.

I would say that maybe it’s on the staff if this was happening at an alarming rate, but it’s not.

Without knowing what happened it’s pretty likely that the only person responsible here is Keita.

Unless we wanna try to pin this on Jarvis, too ;)

Tomorrow would be a perfect time for Sedee Keita to have his best game as a Johnny.

Since his timing has been lousy, and we’ve been incredibly inconsistent, it’s possible.
