According to dailypress.com, Hampton University has signed two recruits from Quality Education Academy in Winston-Salem, N.C., which went 26-4 in 2010-11 and finished the season ranked No. 1 in North Carolina and No. 25 in the country in MaxPreps' Freeman Rankings.
Dwight Meikle, a 6-8 forward/guard, and Keron Brown, a 6-5 shooting guard, have signed national letters of intent to join the Pirates next season.
Meikle, a New York native who averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocks per game as a senior, committed to St. John's in November, but was granted a release from the Red Storm on Thursday.
