In an article in the Hartford Courant he says he grew up a UConn fan, not an SJU fan.

Y'all gotta understand that a high schooler aint gonna care what a 'gram did 20-25 year ago. They aint even gonna care bout the Ron Ron team. They knowledge of collge ball don't go back mo than four year at best.

Best of luck for him , but it is easy to be a follower. He will be just another good player from UCONN instead of a legend at St.johns. He will forgot about like Taliek Brown .

That's true.  Taliek is reall all but forgotten.  If a McDonald's All-American PG even led us to the Elite Eight, let alone the National Championship, he'd be glorified at St. John's.  We have more love for Boo Harvey than they do for Brown.
