So what do people think? He got the start today and has been playing well. Whats everyones take on him half way into the season. Bust? Potential? Good?

I thinkhe has potential.  I was most impressed with how well he got out on the break for his second basket of the game.  Excellent athlete whose offensive game will develop.  Has to learn to defend without getting the foul calls.  So does Dele.

He's raw-- and we have too many of these "raw" guys, pretty much all of the recruits besides DJ Kennedy (maybe) and Malik play at times like they don't know what they're doing intuitively-- but I see why he got a schollie.  He has to learn how to protect the ball and finish and get that jumper consistent-- actually, he needs technique on every part of basketball-- but he can run and board and he'll probably get playing time when there are athletic/ dangerous forwards.

Not that he or anyone else did any kind of job on Greene.

He certainly has some potential, but he's clueless on defense. Like everyone.

Lot of potential, but just learning the game.  Very raw.  Plays hard.  Will be a good player for us (with the potential to be very good) as an uperclassman.  Would've been a perfect redshirt candidate if we had more frontcourt depth imho.

He's been improving faster than almost anyone I've ever seen...I think he has the potential to be pretty good as well by junior year.

pretty rapid improvement...he must have been really nervous those first few games.

Lil shock myself seeing him score right away like he do last night and in Hawaii. Considerin everytime he touch the ball in November he turn it over.

What does this have to do with Sean Evans??

I was real dissappointed with what I saw from him early on but since Hawaii he's been real effective.  I actually liked what I saw from him last night but then he didn't play after the initial minutes to start each half.  He is definetely raw but his athletic ability for a man his size is something you don't see that often.  Hopefully he puts it all together, figures out how to play smart defense and learn the little things about offense a little more this year and be a real force for us next.

i think he can be a solid 4 yr player for us.  nothing great but nothing bad.  every team can use a good role player.  just hope he continues to work hard

I think he has bigger upside than a role player.
He's very athletic, and he's contributing without knowing what he's doing.

Once he learns the game, the fouls, turnovers and careless shots will slow down.
He's strong, and he can run the floor. That much is clear.

I think he is going to be decent player for us down the road.WHY IS HE STARTING!! He should be the 4th string center. This is the 1st game of the Big East season.

on the defensive side of the ball/rebounding he's looked fine.  i'm just not sure if he really has the shot.  his bball iq will at best be average.

I don't know how you can predict what a person's basketball IQ will be peaking at. I don't think this is something any of us can measure

i just doubt that he'll learn the game so well, that we'll say he's one of the smarter players on the team.  it would be impressive, considering where he started off.
