No surgery is anticipated for the junior big man at this time, and Burrell has been cleared to participate in non-contact workouts and conditioning exercises while wearing a splint until early October. Sophomore guard Quincy Roberts, who suffered a mild concussion during the Red Storm's four-game Canadian Tour, was examined upon return and kept out of team and individual workouts for two weeks as a precaution. Redshirt junior Rob Thomas (groin/knee) and Mason Jr. (hamstring) continue to progress in low-impact weight training and conditioning exercises while participating in physical therapy and recuperating from those minor injuries. All are expected to be cleared for full team practice when they begin on Friday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m.
