an average of 10 pts and 8 boards, does that sound reasonable?

I think Sean is the easiest guy on the team to predict on terms of minimum production. He's going to get his hustle/garbage points without a doubt. He's going to get 3-4 put backs a game plus a bucket or two on his own.

IF

Sean can hit his FT then I think you could see a big boom in his production.

A: From hitting more FT and he is the type of player who will get to the FT line.

B: Finishing more around the basket as teams will be more honest and won't be so inclined to foul him so much. Its a lot easier to make a dunk/layup without 2 guys draped on you.

In terms of rebounding I think its safe to assume 2-3 offensive boards a game to go along with 4-5 defensive boards.

I think the real question with Sean Evans is will his defensive numbers spike at all? He did a much better job last year getting into passing lanes and getting some steals where his freshman year his defensive awareness was very shaky and often got lost on the weakside. I think Sean has the athleticism to become a better shot blocker but can he develop into one?

Of course they sound reasonable.  They are last years averages. ::)

all kidding aside,  i'm hoping more along the lines of 13-14 ppg  and  10 boards.  However , like Dave said,  his most important numbers will be free throw percentage and turnovers.

There is one key for his game to go to an All Big East level, and it's free throws.
If he can hit 75% of those, he can do 14-15 and maybe 9 or 10.

Just imagine if he hits hits free throws, and cuts down on the bull in a china closet routine.
He'd be a POY candidate.

The key stat line fo Sean is minutes.

The brother gotta watch the fouls. Gotta get better position on D wit his feet and gotta stop the ridic dribblin on O, which lead to charges left and right.

Only then can he maximize his bulldog effort and put up numbers.

Exactly, he's got to play smarter ball, but in his case, the talent is really there.
He has an explosive style, and if he starts to play with more control, he could be great.

Everyone who I took to see games that hadn't seen the team before,
came away impressed with Evans.

13 and 9 would have been reasonable had we not brought in Brownlee, Lawrence, and Hardy. There's only one ball, and I think Evans loses out and averages about 8 ppg.

Evans will take the ball coast to coast and score at least 4 times a game.  That's 8 points right there.  The others will come off put backs.

Did you mean to say: Evans will take the ball coast to coast and turn it over at least 4 times a game lol  In all seriousness I think the key will be what Dave stated, can he hit his FT.  If so his numbers will grow if not I expect more of the same.
