Norm on ESPN Radio 11/12

:) Interviewed by Tierney who expects SJU to win 20,finish 8th in Big East & go to NCAA dance. Norm sounded optimistic with new depth & experience. Did not predict wins nor standinings but we want to win. Players out for team victories, not stats. Asked who will be first off bench,Norm replied Brownlee,Hardy and Quincey Roberts. Said he will use 11 players. Mason will have to fit in after he returns.
Good ,interesting interview.

Hardy isn't starting. Brownlee isn't starting.
I'm not sure if this is good news.

We need impact players to win.

Was in the car so caught the interview. It was good and now I'm ready to start the season. Enough with all the prognostications, Lets see what happens on court.  Norm also said the starting lineup would be the same as last year.  I just wish that he didn't bring up injuries on every damn interview he does!

20 wins or bust!

Did you really expect Norm to just throw them in the starting lineup for the 1st game?  I'm just hoping they are in the game when it counts.  And what about Omari?

Just heard the interview

Nice job by Tierney actually showing he knows things about the team
Norm mentioned Brownlee a few times in high regard

Heres the link to the podcast, it starts at about the 18 minute mark: http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/player?context=podcast&id=4649052

Don't read to much into the starting line up for the first game. Let the Vets start things off and ease in the new comers. It makes sense.

I suppose longevity is worth something to Norm.
But I'd rather he knew who his best 5 were by now.

It's really game 5 tomorrow.

If you include the exhibitions it's really game 7.   ::)

Of course the new guys only got a few practices in for the Canada trip once classes started and the exhibitions were just that, exhibitions.  It's game 1.
