well done Peter. Hopefully, we come out ready, and don't take vacations during the second half.
This is one of weaker Ivy teams. No excuse to not murder them.

I really want to see the sub patterns get straightened out in this game. There is no reason to be subbing in hardy/brownlee/lawrence/stith all at once. Give evans or burrell a blow first, bring in brownlee. Give boothe a blow, bring in stith. Give dj or paris a blow, bring in hardy/lawrence. These line changes gotta stop. Also, what is he gonna do when Mason and Rob get back? Play 13 guys? Sub on the fly?

norm needs to get down to eight or nine guys by the time the conference season starts.  the others sit.

we're starting to see who should play and who shouldn't.

It's nice to get guys run and give them their legs but JungleFever is right in saying we need to start establishing a real rotation. This will also condition guys to their roles on the team and establish a rhythm doing so.

It's not so much as to making a sub after the first media timeout or if a guy gets 2 fouls early on. Sure these subs will happen but I'd like to see Norm get a better feel for whats working and if its not working who to bring in to change what we're doing to make it work. If you want to use media timeouts to sub for rest that's great and that's what your assistants are for in realizing this. You can give a guy 5 min rest but only have him out of the game for 3 min.

If Burrell is not getting touches in the post then bring in Brownlee to face up.

If Boothe can't penetrate a zone bring in Hardy to shoot from the point.

If Boothe is playing well just bring in Stith to give him a blow and get Boothe back out on the floor soon after.

There are many different scenarios that we can do especially given our depth.

Different players and lineup combinations should dictate differences in the way we run our offense too. We should run organized sets for different players. This is something we rarely did with Larry Wright that we should do with Dwight Hardy.

I rarely see Norm sub a guy out and immediately sub him back in unless its because our rotation is short because of foul trouble. It seems once guys are on the bench they're stuck there for at least 6 min of game time which kills momentum and rhythm had(some guys are better going hot/cold/hot than others).

There are a ton of things we can do better and sometimes I do see methods to Norm's madness but other times I'm baffled. I might have to check game logs a little more closely to monitor substitution patterns.

Ideally we'd like to establish sizable leads in some OOC games to allow a deep rotation but until that lead is establish the rotation should be on a shorter leash.

Or just organized sets.

You're asking for a lot there.

I feel like norm is making just changes just to make them now that he has more talented players. Thats fine when we have a large lead, but in relatively close games like we ve had(epecially the Bonnies) he needs to stick with what works. I would like to see more 1 for 1 subs, not a complete lineup change. Thats ruins any rythm we may have had.
