Few people outside of the St. John's basketball team thought the Red Storm had any real shot at beating Duke.

The nay sayers turned out to be right, but the Red Storm (6-1) held its own against the No.6. Blue Devils. Duke led 40-24 at the half, but St. John's outscored the Blue Devils 47-40 in the second half and actually shot 50 percent from the field for the game.
