Bulldogs to play in New York's famed Madison Square GardenNestled in the heart of Manhattan, N.Y., Madison Square Garden is widely considered the most famous basketball arena in the world for its propensity to host the sport's greatest games since its construction in 1968.
Wednesday night, the Georgia men's basketball team will scroll front and center across the infamous Madison Square Garden marquee, as head coach Mark Fox's new-look Bulldogs take center stage against St. John's in basketball's greatest venue for the 3rd annual SEC/Big East Invitational.
"I have been in Madison Square Garden, but I have never coached in the arena," Fox said. "I'm really looking forward to that for our players. It is, as you know, the most famous basketball arena in the world, and it should be a great event and should be a day that our players look forward to."
