Mase and Coker

Both suited up but DNP, whats the story with these 2?

Mason re-injured himself lacing up his shoes.
Norm forgot that Coker was our starting center.

Mase is supposed to be a week to a couple of weeks away.

Coker... ?  I guess they thought Rob Thomas was a better option.

I didn't think Rob Thomas was the answer but I agree that Coker didn't really have a spot on the court. Providence is a perimeter oriented team so Dele's shotblocking becomes someone invaluable.

agreed.  Burrell, Evans, Coker, and Brownlee deserve all of the big man minutes.  There's not enough to go around for those 4, let alone adding thomas in.

The STJ_basketball twitter reported that Mase is about a week away from being ready.

Yea, thomas is just an extra body at this point. even when/if he gets an offensive rebound, which is one of his only qualities, he is too small to put it back in. he gets his putbacks blocked countless times. it is so demoralizing to have those point blank shots turned away.

So is Mason playing vs Louisville? That's sorta a week away.

rob thomas won us georgetown last year. he is the one big guy i trust to take two dribbles. he is also the only one who EVER uses a shot/head fake in the paint. evans gets his shit stuffed way more than rob.

he should get 10-12 mins a game out of evans and brownlee's mins. he is underrated and underused.
