Storm fall at buzzer in Norm's likely finale [NY Post]

If last night was Norm Roberts' closing argument to remain St. John's head basketball coach, his players delivered moving testimony.

The Red Storm fought and scrapped but came up just short as Memphis' Wesley Witherspoon hit an off-balance lay-up as time expired to hand the Johnnies a brutal 73-71 loss in the first round of the NIT.

The loss ended the Red Storm's season and possibly Roberts' six-year run as head coach. Last week, The Post reported that Roberts would be fired at season's end.

  didn't we have the same league record?  In a weaker conference?
