Alford would be a GREAT choice!  I suggested him months ago.  What's your problem with him?? He has NM at a 3 seed!

Alford, I havent put much thought into to. He would need  a tremendous staff with local flavor to get it done here imo

yea, no offense to the ivy, but if you're gonna hire a winning coach in that league you might as well hire a winning high school coach...the only thing recruits might care less about than norm calling them, is the 3rd place coach in the ivy league...if hes doing well there, super, now he goes to a mid major...not to a power conference school

Fans are so desperate for a new coach that the idea of anyone seems good.

No one believes that the school has any interest in doing something about the state of the program. I think that's why you hear crazy suggestions like Cremins.

Do your research on what  Hair GEL did at IOWA over a decade in a MAJOR CONFERENCE(BIG TEN).......he lost more conference games than he won. There was no love for him there (they had a FIRESTEVEALFORD.com site for years.)
Plus he is a country small market guy. He went where failed BIG TEN COACHES go. the.MOUNTAIN WEST Can't take the bright lights.

He made a pretty funny comment about Norm saying like "If Norm is as good as he says he is, I'm sure he won't have a problem getting another high major job after he's let go" and Francesa called him mean

 He also said if Norm really cared about the program he would quit. Francessa said who in their right mind would quit a 750k a year job.  Also asked him to name that last coach to quit like that.

It was REALFAN.  He's on BEB talking about it.  lol
