Should have jumped on Pecora
« on: March 25, 2010, 05:42:15 PM »
Instead, Fordham beat us to the punch.  Pecora would have had us in the NCAA next year, and would have shined in recruiting in the Big East.  We're going to be regretting this one for a while.

Kid! I've agreed with every single thing you've said on this board. Except this.

I think you all need to step away from the ledge. A few days ago we are talking about Donovan and today we are regretting not grabbing Pecora.  THey took their shot, got denied.  Its ok. There are a lot of great coaches out there. we will have one soon, maybe not till after the Tourney.
Ben Howland is a name to keep in mind.  I know they are not happy with him at UCLA.  I know a few students there. Long shot, for sure.

It's Pecora's loss more than ours.  If he couldnt compete with the Virginia schools in the CAA, i have a hard time believing he could compete against our top coaches.

He should have waited.  I dont know if Fordham said "now or never" but if they didnt he shouldnt have assumed Paul would take the Job.  Now he is prob kicking himself.

The board needed some lightening up. Come on people!  this is not the end of the world, plenty of good coaches to go after yet.  Plus we have all our recruits for next year. Time is not of the essence...no need to rush the process.

LOL,  you had me worried there, Kid. Glad to see you haven't lost your head yet like our resident crackpot.

Exactly right.  This is the most important hire in this schools history.  Its ok to take our time now.

I respectfully disagree. Not a big fan of Tom.
