Yea, we'll see. I'm always a little skeptical of front runners.

Considering he's #1, is the son of a former NBA player - and one of the best coaches in the NBA - I'd wager that Rivers is someone you can bet on, Poison.

It's not like we're talking about Lenny Cooke here.

But don't forget, Lenn Berman said those numbers could drop.

Seriously, I had a flash forward of Dom Pointer shutting Austin Rivers down at MSG.

I hope you're right, but this ain't Ricky Moore vs. Trajan Langdon here.  Rivers is legit.

Rivers is legit, but he's also somewhat known as a 'chucker.'  He's definitely a volume shooter from what I witnessed.

Pointer possesses the height; size; lateral quickness; length and defensive prowess to eventually be a top-notch defender.  Not to mention, he seems to really want it.

We'll eventually see how things pan out.

He's legit, sure. John Wall he is not.

I would take our class over UNC and we will move ahead of Arkansas soon.

We should be #3 tomorrow.  We'll be #2 if/when Amir Garrett announces.  We'll be in a dog fight with Kentucky for #1.  I have no idea how the quantifiy these things, but we have five ships left after Lindsey commits tomorrow and they have two.  If we land Achiuwa, Pelle, and Garrett, I think the top spot will got to us.

If so its because of sheer #s.  Duke and Kentucky will have better classes in terms of per player ranking, and since those are so high, they should be ahead of us.  I think 3 is a fair place for us to settle in assuming we get a few more guys.

I'd put our class up against Duke right now.  It's very comparable.  Kentucky on the other hand is just silly, and, yes, we'd be beating them on sheer #'s if we can some how grabe the top spot.  I'd honestly take our class over UK's, though, because most of UK's recruits will be gone in two years.  As juniors, our recruits will be playing against their next #1 class of freshman.  We could be a very special team in three years.
Wow.

I like our depth and Arkansas', but I also like the star power of UK (all of them), UNC (particularly McAdoo and Hairston), Duke (particularly Rivers, Cook, and Gbinije), Syracuse (particularly MCW and Christmas), and Arizona (Josiah Turner & Nick Johnson).

Even if they sign with the Yankees

How many of whom will be in the league in 2 years.

Kyle Wiltjer is the only one I could envision possibly spending as many as three seasons in Lexington, but he's about as skilled as any of the 4/5s in this class. Wiltjer, who's dad played at Oregon St., actually committed to the University of Kentucky sight unseen.

Unless we get some TOP end recruits, or some of our recruits move up and theirs don't, Duke has the better class in terms of rankings.

We have five more scholarships to hand out.  Care to bet on this?

Moreover, you NOW ask "is that really that far off?"   No it's not far off.  But YOU claim st johns is better already...you going back on that romanticized statement, Mr. Runner with the Bulls?

Wrong.  My original statement was

I'm not sure if you just chose to lie or if you found it easier to guess on what I said (and then insult me based on that) than scrolling up a few posts to get the actual quote.  I didn't say we were better, all I said was that we were comparable.  You then responded with this:

Their median is 42.  Our median is 45.

Gee, I guess we aren't as comparable as I thought  ::)
